Best Seasonal Guide to Getting Married in Cabo (San Lucas)

3/02/2021

I am excited to offer you a guide to the best season for getting married in Cabo San Lucas on our blog this month! Spring is here and as the weather gently heats up, it serves as a reminder that the seasons are an important thing to consider when planning your wedding. Thankfully in Los Cabos, we are blessed with year-round beautiful, sunny days – so take your pick ;).

Pick Your Season of Love

We have 2 main wedding seasons during the year in Los Cabos. Our fall season starts in October and runs until mid-December. I would avoid the Holiday Season altogether as room availability is challenging and the rates increase substantially.

October’s weather stays around 80 °F, making it sunny and warm, while November and December weather wavers between 70-80 °F. This makes for the perfect combination of amazing weather and still balmy ocean temperature.

Winter Weddings In Cabo

Our second wedding season stretches from January until June. Even though January February are winter months, they are still incredibly inviting. The temperature in Los Cabos usually drops to 78.8 °F (26 °C) or slightly lower during the New Year season. Thanks to an ever-present sun, guests can enjoy the pool and ocean during these months, trying fun new water activities and having lazy pool days. Naturally, the nights tend to be cooler. Therefore, we recommend that your guest bring a wrap for evenings, in addition to providing heaters for guests during outdoor events.

Fascinating fact: Los Cabos is an authentic tropical paradise thanks to the tropics of cancer line which crosses 20 minutes north of San José del Cabo. Because of this, whale migration takes place during November – April right at our doorstep. You might see whales jumping in the ocean from the comfort of your hotel pool – they certainly put on a show for us! If you are visiting Los Cabos from snowy places, this is the perfect season for you!

Spring Season Brings The Love

March is definitely one of our favorite months to get married in Cabo as our spring season starts.  Spring is a very romantic season; guest love it and for good reason – sunny weather mixed with the feeling of rebirth and renewal – what could be a better way to begin a marriage?

Summer Season – May and June

For the ideal mix of quiet beaches and warm, sunny days, plan a Summer wedding. You can expect average daily temperatures with highs of around 90 Fahrenheit (32 Celsius) and lows of 66 Fahrenheit (19 Celsius). Summer always brings a time of relaxation and vacation mode. Even though Summer is in full swing, let’s not forget that Baja is a desert, therefore we have beautiful, cool nights. These are the months you can also find great pricing and offers on airfare.

Average Airfare

Some of the most popular airlines that fly to Los Cabos are American Airlines, Alaska Airlines and Delta. For the fall we have average pricing for airfares from 300 USD Califonia, 520 USD Dallas and 850 USD West Coast.

The Worst Months to Get Married in Los Cabos

We do not recommend getting married during the months of August and September. These two months are typically the worst of hurricane season. They are undoubtedly the warmest time of the year for Los Cabos. It’s normal to experience high humidity during these months, therefore that can be problematic for make-up, hair and bridal gowns.

Happy Planning,
Pamela
