Why did you choose to do a destination wedding at Flora Farms, Cabo?

We had looked at a few spots somewhat near our home but nothing was really working out. We had gone to Cabo before as our first trip together and loved it. Our friends had always told us about Flora Farms Cabo and how much I would be obsessed with it. We decided to vacation in Cabo check out Flora Farms while we were there. The second I stepped onto that farm and met Erika, I knew that place was the one! I told Matt that if it didn’t work out I was over getting married and we would just elope! Thank god it worked out!

How did your family and friends respond to the decision?

We gave them a lot of notice so they were ok with it. A lot of our immediate family members had never been to Cabo and were in desperate need of a vacation so it was a great excuse!

What was your favorite design detail?

EVERYTHING! I loved how the aisle looked and how the white rose petals were scattered on the floor with the one, perfect chandelier hanging from the tree looked. My bouquet was an assortment of hydrangeas, white anemones, hints of hot pink tulips, wax flower, lavender, dusty miller and natural mixed greenery.

What was the best idea you had in planning your destination wedding?

That the closest, most meaningful people to us all got to spend a weekend together in paradise, on vacation! Matt and I came from different towns so it was amazing to see both of our families and groups come together!

Best advice to future brides and grooms of destination weddings:

Everyone told me to take that day slow, look at every detail and savor the moment. It is so true! I made sure to look at everything when we arrived at the farm, enjoy every conversation and savor everything I could. Also, don’t get too drunk too early 😉
